Expedition Clothing
Unlike the first explorers at the turn of the century, it is now possible to dress so that the cold and wind are not the unbearable hardships that they once were. Advances in fabric and insulation technology mean that whilst it might still be optimistic to say that the team will be warm and comfortable at all times, the risk of serious frostbite or loss of limbs and/or fingers from the cold has been greatly reduced, while modern sleeping bags and camping equipment mean that a reasonable nights sleep should be possible.
